Driven: The Race to Create the Autonomous Car, Author Q&A

Alex Davies will be visiting this Book Passage event to talk about his new book about self-driving cars.

A former editor of Wired Magazine and current Senior Editor at Business Insider, Davies specializes in the history of electric transportation and innovation. His latest book chronicles the race between the government and Silicon Valley technology companies to be the first to develop a self-driving car. Davies gives a solid history of the technology behind these cars, along with an explanation as to why the artificial intelligence required to be able to take our hands off the wheel just isn’t quite there yet.
