New York Public Library
With 92 locations throughout Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx, the New York Public Library is the largest public library system in the United States, and it’s been an integral part of the city since its foundation in 1895. The NYPL holds over 55 million items across its branches and hosts a wide range of free classes and events geared towards a variety of ages and interests.
This summer, all New York Public Library events are virtual. Some of the more practical events include computer classes, career coaching, and a money managing seminar. If you’re only looking for fun and enrichment, you can find events such as book discussions, art workshops, and storytime sessions for children.
The library has several events running every day except Sunday. Some events may require a NYPL library card, but most require only a name and email address to register.
